LIFE-SAVING BLOOD DIAGNOSTIC DEVICE

We need your generous support to provide a life-saving blood diagnostic device for the Oncology Department of the Heim Pál Children’s Hospital, the largest children hospital in Hungary.

A modern blood diagnostic device is life-saving in the care of children with leukemia. Those children may develop complications, both as a result of their primary illness and as a result of chemotherapy, which may cause sudden bleeding that is compounded by their blood clotting disorders. Such a critical condition may be acutely life-threatening as the child may even bleed to death.

The blood diagnostic device is a cutting edge piece of medical technology that allows doctors to create a so-called targeted blood-clotting therapy in the case of such blood loss, based on the precisely measured data of the blood-clotting system. Efficient stemming of the bleeding depends on establishing the malfunctioning or missing blood clotting components with great accuracy. A modern, full-function blood clotting diagnostic device is an indispensable piece of equipment for that process, its unavailability may cost children’s lives.

The life-saving blood clotting diagnostic machine – which costs about 28.000 dollars – will be used to help children with leukemia from all around the Hungary. Even the smallest donation is important to us, as it may be the little bit missing for the purchase of this life-saving machine. Once more, we request your selfless support for that mission!
